About Us

Ashiana was formed in 2000 by a group of like-minded professionals to serve the needs of children and young adults with learning difficulties. We started with only a handful of service users, carers and volunteers but have since expanded rapidly. Ashiana’s mission though has, and always will, remain the same. It is to empower and support our service users to improve independence, choice and well-being through participation, social awareness and integration. Ashiana received a charitable trust status in 2008.

Aims and Objective:

  • Deliver weekly and monthly activities for our ‘service users’
  • To encourage and train service users to partake in activities centred around arts and culture.
  • Build service users’ self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Prepare our service users to become part of the community
